Well, it’s official… according to the calendar, it’s finally Fall! And as much as I adore Summer, I’m ready for changing leaves, pumpkins on my porch, and every single clichéd thing Fall has to offer!
But Texas has barely started cooling down, so it’s that tricky season where we don’t know whether to dress for the calendar or for the weather. I shared 30 Transitional Fall outfits HERE, and today, I’ve got some more fun inspiration for you.
I was browsing all the darling new arrivals at Nordstrom, and the moment I spotted this skirt, it was love at first sight! It has everything I love about about a Fall skirt… beautiful fall colors, lightweight cotton for a range of temperatures, and perfect style for pairing with everything from sandals to booties. Plus, it’s super comfortable!
It’s on the pricier side, but so versatile it can be styled countless ways! To prove my point, today I’m styling four ways, for both now and later!

The skirt is a new-to-me brand, Brave + True, which features classic silhouettes and bold prints… so basically, right up my alley! This flowy maxi skirt buttons down the front, and has a comfy elastic waist in the back. It’s a gorgeous mix of fall colors that pair with so much!
The ribbed tank is a Brave + True find, also, and comes in both brown and black (both of which look great with the skirt!). In fact, most of the Brave + True styles coordinate for endless mix-and-matching!
Fit Tip: The skirt is a generous fit, I’m in a sizw XS. The tank is stretchy, but fitted, I’m in a size Small.

For these warmer days, I’ll pair the skirt with a tank and sandals for a cool, early-Fall style.

When the mornings start to cool a bit, I’ll add a jean jacket and swap the sandals for sneakers. I love how this skirt easily dresses up or down, as well.

Okay, let’s take this skirt to full-on Fall with a classic utility jacket and booties! I added the belt for a little more style and shape, but it looks great worn loose and open, as well.

Now let’s dress her up a bit… for this style, I added a cozy sweater and flats, and this skirt will take you all the way through Winter!
This crewneck sweater has been a long-time fave, it’s super soft and stretchy, with a relaxed fit and classic shape that pairs with everything from skirts to denim. And double bonus… it’s on sale, too!
Fit Tip: The sweater runs large, I sized down to an XXS. It’s still a relaxed fit, but not so much that it overwhelms the full skirt.

These flats are officially a Sugarplum Favorite Thing, considering I now own them in three colors! (Assuming leopard is a color?!) They are so soft and comfy, with a padded footbed and light on the feet.
I discovered them last year when I was forced into wearing flats, and haven’t stopped wearing them since! They’re super comfortable, and the style goes with everything from skirts to denim. They’re available in tons of colors, many of which are on sale!
Fit Tip: I find the shoes true-to-size.
